I did not write this

As it is written in the Holy Bible something miraculous will happen and millions of people, myself included will have "suddenly disappeared". More than likely it will be the biggest news event in all of history. The media will lie and explain it away as some mysterious cosmic mishap or some unforeseen alien attack. Do not buy into these silly suggestions because the truth has been told for centuries and many of you chose to ignore it.

Martial law will be in effect in most places, emergency measures to keep thieves and criminals from looting and fighting over what has been left. Governments will fall and international chaos will follow. People will suffer from heart attacks; others will commit suicide in their despair of missing friends and family.

Do not despair because there is purpose and meaning in all of our lives that begins with God and His son, Jesus Christ. Many people are often "turned off" and annoyed by talk of religion, the Bible or church because they don't want to hear it or refuse to try and understand it. We live our lives blind and oblivious to the fact that there is a living God and that we must repent and accept His Son to receive His gift of salvation.

I will explain to you exactly what will happen, what is going to happen and what all this means to you. Please bear with me as I am not a pastor, preacher or one who prophesizes. I am a born again Christian who accepted Christ and have received the ultimate gift of God's salvation. The best news is, it's not too late for you to receive this wonderful gift also. As revealed in the Holy Bible; "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved." Romans 10:9-10

"Dear Heavenly Father, I confess that I have sinned against heaven and in your sight and need forgiveness. Thank you for sending your Son Jesus to die on the cross for my sins, according to the Scriptures, and I thank you for raising Him from the dead. Today I ask Him to come into my heart to cleanse me from my sin and become my Lord and Savior. I give myself to you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen!"

This prayer is similar to the one I prayed on 1 July 1999. On this day I accepted Christ into my life and became a Born-Again Christian. I was fortunate enough to have a God fearing mother who made sure all of her children attended church every Sunday and learned the Word of the Lord and the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made for mankind.

If you seek God's salvation and acknowledge that you are a sinner and fall short of His wonderful grace and mercy, I encourage you to repeat the prayer above. If you are sincere and genuine in your prayer, you will be saved, born again, and a child of God. If you have access to a Bible I suggest you familiarize yourself with the New Testament (especially the book of Revelations), and that you can follow along as I quote key verses.

Many people stumble at the simplicity of salvation. They often feel that they must do something to earn or deserve such a wonderful offer. Yes, something had to be done so that salvation could be offered to us freely, but Jesus did it all. All God asks of us is that we believe that Jesus died for our sins and receive Him into our heart and life by faith. The genuineness and the reality of your faith will be demonstrated in a changed life.

"I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eats of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world." John 6:51

Jesus referred to Himself as "the bread of life." He is the heavenly Bread- the truth, life-sustaining power; anything else, regardless of its religious significance in the past or present, is an inadequate substitute. Jesus is our ultimate Source of nourishment in life. If we fail to eat of this Bread, we will starve spiritually.

Why do millions disappear?

"Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed - in a moment, in twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed" 1 Corinthians 15:51-52

What is revealed in the above text is that the return of Jesus Christ and the rapture of his church will be instantaneous. In an instant Christ will return in full glory and power and His second coming will change life forever on earth. The second coming of Jesus Christ will be the most powerful reality the human race will ever experience.

"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there you may be also" John 14:1-3

As Christians we have taken comfort in those very words spoken by our Lord and Saviour. We received comfort knowing our repentance, obedience and faithfulness in Him and His word would not go unnoticed and that we would be reunited with Christ in heaven. Many believe that their kind acts, good deeds or living right will entitle them to heaven, this is a grave misconception.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

You may ask yourself why will this happen. God is trying to get the attention of every person who has ignored or rejected him. He will come to Rapture His church from a corrupt and sinful world which seeks its own way and has disobeyed his word. I believe God's purpose in this is to allow those who remain a chance to remove themselves from sin, turn to the Bible for the truth and to Christ Jesus for salvation.

What happens next?

Scripture teaches that a great lie will be published and believed by the masses left behind after the Rapture. Paul the apostle describes it as such:

"The coming of the lawless one [the Antichrist] is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness." 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12

The Scriptures also indicates that there will be a great lie, announced with the help of a self-styled world leader. Jesus himself prophesied about such a person. He said, "I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive.

Beware of such a leader who may emerge from Europe. He will turn out to be a great deceiver who will perform signs and wonders so impressive that many will believe he is God. This deceiver will promise strength, peace and security, but the Bible says he will speak out against the Most High and will wear down the saints of the Most High. Be forewarned of a new leader with great charisma trying to take over the world during this terrible time of chaos and confusion. This person is known in the Bible as the Antichrist. He will make many promises, but he will not keep them. He will deceive many. Don't be one of these people. You must now trust in the word of God and seek salvation through His son Jesus Christ.

I believe the Bible teaches that the Rapture of the church ushers in a seven-year trial and tribulation period, during which terrible things will happen. If you have not received Christ as your Saviour, your soul is in jeopardy. And because of the cataclysmic events that will take place during this period, your very life is in danger. If you turn to Christ, you may still have to die a martyr.

The Tribulation Period

The tribulation officially begins when the Antichrist signs a seven-year covenant with Israel. (Daniel 9:27). He will not fully honour the covenant but will break it in the middle of the seven years, desecrate the new temple, then launch the most anti-Semitic crusade in history.

During these seven years, God will pour out three consecutive sets of judgements- seven seals in a scroll, in which the Bible calls the Seal Judgements; seven trumpets; and seven bowls. These judgements, I believe are handed down for the purpose of shaking those left behind loose from whatever shred of security they might have left. If the Rapture didn't get your attention, the judgements will. As horrible as these judgements might be, I urge you to see these as final warnings from God who is not willing that any should perish.

As the scroll is opened and the seals are broken, revealing the judgements, the first four are represented by horsemen - the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. I will list each of the judgements and give a brief description, however I urge you to refer to your Bible for more in depth explanations.

The Seal Judgements

First Seal: (Revelation 6:1-2) The conqueror or Antichrist rider of the white horse riding to win the world's worship and submission. The rider is said to have a bow but no arrows, indicating that although he is militarily strong, in the beginning he does his conquering by diplomacy.

Second Seal: (Revelation 6:3-4) Conflict on earth or World War III. John writes of the second horseman, "It was granted to the one who sat on [the red horse] to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword.

Third Seal: (Revelation 6:5-6) The third horseman will take a heavy toll in deaths and sickness. The black horse he rides is a symbol of famine and disease, which often follows war. Rampant inflation is suggested and John reports man will have to work all day just to get enough food to eat.

Fourth Seal: (Revelation 6:7-8) The fourth horseman whose horse was pale symbolizes death. John said, "And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth." Over one billion people will die as a result of WWIII.

Fifth Seal: (Revelation 6:9-11) John sees "under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held." As the Antichrist rise in power progresses, persecution of believers will increase. This seal represents they cry of the martyrs.

Sixth Seal: (Revelation 6:12-17) John tells of an earthquake so massive that "every mountain and island was moved out of it's place." Volcanic activity is suspected along with a red moon.

Seventh Seal: (Revelation 8:1-2) The seventh seal differs from the other seals because it introduces the next series of divine judgements, the seven trumpet judgements. "When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour." While the seal judgements occur in roughly the first twenty-one months of the Tribulation, the trumpet judgements take place in the second twenty-one months. In the first period of the Tribulation the earth has known the wrath of the Antichrist; now it will begin to feel the wrath of God Almighty.

The Trumpet Judgements

First Trumpet: (Revelation 8:7) "And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: blood and fire and pillars of smoke." Joel 2:30 This is an ecological disaster without comparison to this point in the history of mankind; it's results are incalculable.

Second Trumpet: (Revelation 8:8-9) John sees "something like a great mountain burning with fire" - likely an enormous meteorite crashing through the atmosphere- "thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood." As a result, a third of everything living in the sea dies, and a third of the ships on the sea are destroyed.

Third Trumpet: (Revelation 8:10-11) A star called Wormwood crashes to earth, "burning like a torch." It falls on a third of the earth's rivers and springs, turning them bitter and poisonous. Many will die from this plague.

Fourth Trumpet: (Revelation 8:12) John writes, "A third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened; a third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night.

Fifth Trumpet: (Revelation 9:1-11) From the "bottomless pit" out comes smoke and "locusts" with the scorpion-like power to sting and torment unbelievers for five months. John says, "In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them."

Sixth Trumpet: (Revelation 9:13-19) "The four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates." These angels apparently will lead an army of 200 million "horsemen" who will kill a third of mankind through plagues of fire and smoke and brimstone.

Seventh Trumpet: (Revelation 11:15-19) The seventh trumpet is not itself a judgement but rather shows all heaven rejoicing in loud voices. John hears, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!"

666 The number of the beast

Accepting the mark is irreversible. It is evident that anyone who decides to worship the Antichrist and receive his mark or his name is an irreversible decision. This is an unpardonable sin.

The Bowl Judgements

First Bowl: (Revelation 16:2) When men choose to worship Antichrist rather than Christ and demonstrate their allegiance by accepting the mark of the Beast, God responds by placing on them a plague of "foul and loathsome" sores.

Second Bowl: (Revelation 16:3) God commands that the entire sea become "blood as of a dead man"- that is corrupt, decaying, stinking, putrid. Every living creature in the sea dies.

Third Bowl: (Revelation 16:4-7) By this point in the Tribulation the Antichrist and his forces have martyred millions of believers. God turns the rivers and springs into blood.

Fourth Bowl: (Revelation 16:8-9) Their mouths already parched from the lack of water, those who are unrepentant suffer even more intense thirst when God causes the sun to "scorch" them with "great heat."

Fifth Bowl: (Revelation 16:10-11) This is a special judgement focused mainly on the "throne of the beast" and on his "kingdom," thus demonstrating to the whole world where the source of the trouble lies. When the Antichrist proclaimed God, he made himself the focus of God's wrath. The whole world will see with no question who the real God is.

Sixth Bowl: (Revelation 16:12) The sixth bowl judgement comes in two stages: 1. The drying up of the Euphrates River, in preparation of the armies of the kings from the east. 2. The activity of demonic forces in bringing the armies of the world to the valley of Megiddo, where they will try in vain to oppose the Lord Jesus.

Seventh Bowl: (Revelation 16:17-21) The most severe earthquake the world has ever known "since men were on the earth" shakes the planet to its foundations. Enormous hailstones weighing over 130 pounds each rain from the sky striking men all over the planet.

And with that, the bowl judgements are over. With the cessation of this plague, only one significant event remains before the kingdom of Christ can be established. The most famous battle in history is about to be fought.

Glorious Appearing

At the second coming of Christ, Jesus will come back to this earth to judge His enemies, set up His kingdom, and rule over the earth for one thousand years. The Glorious Appearing will end the time of Satan's deception of mankind and will usher in Christ's kingdom of peace on earth. In Revelation 19:11-21 John gives dramatic details of the famous battle that will be fought.

I encourage you to read your Bible and to seek fellowship with your local church. There are so many events that are to take place in the Tribulation Period that I could not address them all. Read and seek understanding of the word of God and you shall receive it. If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Savior I urge you to do so now.

Amen!"

If you seek God's salvation and acknowledge that you are a sinner and fall short of His wonderful grace and mercy, I encourage you to repeat the prayer above. If you are sincere and genuine in your prayer, you will be saved, born again, and a child of God.
