For those who'd like to know more about the webmistress, my name is Terri-Anne, and I was born on October 18, 1988. As you can see, I am a Christian and I love God and Jesus with all my heart. I am not perfect, but I try my best to please God and to put Him first in my life, and to spread His Gospel of Truth.
I live and was born in Canada, but my parents are from Trinidad & Tobago. Personally, I believe I lack creativity, but I somehow manage to create something quite nice. To be honest, I am not really good when it comes to describing myself. I like to make jokes, I like to kid around and bring a smile on your face. I also use "lol" a lot!
I am studying to be a Software Engineer.
I sneeze after eating dark chocolate lol.
GOD
We believe that there is one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
JESUS
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, was born of a virgin, was wholly God and wholly man, lived a sinless life, died in our place as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried, arose bodily from the grave, and ascended into Heaven.
CHRIST'S RETURN
We believe that Jesus Christ will literally return to earth.
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that God the Holy Spirit is active in convincing unbelievers of their need for salvation, and is the Comforter and Guide Who lives in every believer.
BIBLE
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God without any error, the sole authority for life and faith.
MAN
We believe that man is a special creation of God, made in His image, but that through the sin of the first man, Adam, mankind fell so that all men are sinners and need salvation.
SALVATION
We believe that salvation is a gift received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
ASSURANCE
We believe that every person who is truly saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ.
ETERNITY
We believe that those persons who die in their sins without Christ spend eternity in Hell and those persons who die with their sins forgiven through Christ spend eternity in Heaven.
BAPTISM
We believe that water baptism is an act of obedience to the command of Christ and is by immersion after salvation.
CHURCH
We believe that the church is a local body of baptized believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head.
PRAYER
We believe that each believer has direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ.
GOVERNMENT
We believe in the separation of church and state, but not in separation of God and government. Christians are salt and light in society.
I also Believe
There is one God, Father Son and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things seen and unseen.
There is one savior, Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of the Father, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin.
God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one, triune God and co-exist from eternity to eternity.
Jesus Christ suffered death by crucifixion on our behalf at Calvary so that we may be saved.
All men are lost and are unable to save themselves.
Salvation comes only by way of acceptance of Jesus Christ as one’s personal Lord and Savior.
The name of Jesus Christ is the only name given under heaven whereby men can be saved.
Salvation is a free gift of the Father and cannot be earned.
The Holy Spirit came with power at Pentecost. His gifts are bestowed on all believers at the Father's pleasure.
The fruits of the Spirit are the mark of every Christian.
Jesus Christ will return to judge the living and the dead.
When He returns, those who died in Him will be resurrected to life.
Believers look forward to the resurrection of the body.
The Bible is the authoritative, inerrant Word of God.

Title: My Testimony
Date: November 20, 2008
Raised in a Christian home, I've been going to church ever since I was born. Before I became a Christian, I was a child, physically, mentally, and spiritually. But I always knew there was a God who sent His Son to die for me, and you, and all of mankind. Being so young, I wasn't able to fully comprehend what it really meant to be a Christian, but I was always aware of the fact that, "If you believe and trust in God, you'll go to heaven."
I don't really remember the exact time I became a born again Christian, but I have vivid memories of "answering to the alter call" many times. You know, when the pastor would preach about salvation, and call all those who have decided to receive Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour, for prayer. Anyways, I just remember a specific moment, when I was about seven years old, visiting my grandmother in Trinidad, and my sister took out a New Testament Bible, where in the back they included key Bible verses, the sinner's Prayer and the opportunity to accept God's free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ's death and resurrection. I guess at the young age of seven, it wasn't expected of me to know and understand everything, but I felt God at the door of my heart, knocking, and waiting for me to open it. And I did; I opened the door to my heart and let God in, to fulfill me, complete me, love me, and to take control of my life.
The way I see my heart, it's like a building with many rooms and locked doors, all leading to another. Each room filled with love, hate, bad memories, good memories, hidden secrets, hidden feelings, scars, friendship....
Looking at this drawing, I allowed God into the first door, and as my new journey with God progressed, I've opened more and more doors and invited God to get in deeper and deeper into my heart.
I guess, thinking back, what really drew me to God was the whole Family and Love concept. Someone once to me when I was younger, that God was our father, mother, brother, sister, friend. Suppose I were to lose my mother, God would be a mother to me, when I lost a friend, or ever felt alone, God would fill in that empty space and be my friend.
My parents divorced when I was too young to even remember, so I live with my mom. Unlike other children, it's not like I see my father everyday. So I asked God to be that father, to fill in that empty space. And then, I thought, "Well, if God is our father, and Jesus is his Son, then Jesus is our brother!"
The way I saw Christianity and still the way I see it today, relative to my life and personal experiences, it's like one big family; it is a personal relationship with God. As lovely as they can be, no human relationship is perfect. Sometimes the ones you love the most can be the ones who hurt you the most, but God has never hurt me, He has never forsaken me, nor will He ever. He is always there, waiting for me with open arms.
I can go on and on but even though everyone's spiritual journey is different, we all have a common need. It is to find someone who will love us unconditionally; who's willing to look pass our flaws, sins, looks, personality and willing to embrace us and love us always.
These two verses, I remember always:
Romans 5:8: But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
John 15:13: There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
In our lives, we will always encounter people who will either love us a lot, a little, or even hate us. But once we find satisfaction in God's love, we won't have to search anymore for that unconditional love, nor would we have to face dead ends. The extra love coming from others would just be a blessing.
To conclude, my life after being a Christian, I'm still learning, I'm still growing spiritually, but I've opened many more doors to God. I'm allowing Him to go deeper and deeper into my heart, deeper than I've ever let or ever will let anyone else, and deeper than I've ever dared to go myself!
Now I'm serving God with love for Him and for others. I'm not perfect, nor will I ever be. I know I'll stumble but I'm keeping my eyes on the prize, which is eternal life and the day that I'll meet my Jesus face to face. This is such a wonderful gift from God, nothing that I have earned, but what God gave freely to me, because I have accepted it. And now, through this website, and by the way I live my life, I want to let others know what God can do for them too, I want them to know the gift of eternal life that God has for you. He is knocking at your door, waiting for you to open it, and receive this gift. Overall, I'm trying to do my best to please Him, and to glorify Him in all that I do.
Before I close, going back to what I said about God being a father to me. God can be your father too, if you would allow Him to. My mom is a Christian, ever since long before I was born, and she allowed God to be her father too. But God is no body's grandfather. Don't rely on the fact that your parents, or that your family is Christian. We have to personally respond to His gift and accept it. I don't anymore consider God as "the God of my mother", but MY God, my father. I've made up my mind, to go God's way the rest of my life, and there is no turning back.
I sometimes wondered where I would be if my mother wasn't a Christian, would I be a Christian today? I can honestly say that sooner or later, God would have called me, to be His child, because life without Him is so incomplete, unsatisfying. The way I see it, it's like starving for food, thirsting for water, and even though it's right there, in our reach, why do we reject it, and search for a substitute that would only partially full us for just a moment?
Anyways, I really have my mom to thank, for where I am today, for the woman I have become and am becoming, but above all, I have God to thank, for taking me from where I have been, and leading me to where He wants me to be.
